Sunrise/moon shot, my backyard

Image
With two bunnies munching on grass next to me, I got this shot.  The bunnies were still munching when I switched lenses to get this one.

Lighting trials

Well, thank you natural light for your most wonderful rays. I just got lucky on this one with the sunlight pouring in through our sliding glass door. Thank you, house for your south facing-ness.  Little air plants, you're so charming. :)

Sweet Zoe

Image
This little kitty will be 18 in March. What a darling! I'm so lucky to have had her since she was 10 weeks old!! (And endless thanks to my parents for letting her live with them for 6 years.) So much kitty love. And so much fun with Photoshop to enhance the color of her eyes. Her eyes are very close to this color in real life, depending on the light around her, by the way. She's beautiful. <3   She's a pretty fun subject to play with Photoshop. She typically refuses to look at me when I'm taking her picture. I got lucky this time that she didn't completely look away.

Along the way to the cliffs of Moher, June 2016

We got stuck behind tons of bikers on the road. I think there was some sort of biking event. Or every biker in Ireland decided to bike on this road at this particular time. There were a lot of bikers.  A ferry much like the one we were on at the moment. Ours was named "Dolphin" and we saw a dolphin in the water!

A castle (I love castles!) and the darling town of Dingle. Yes, Dingle. June, 2016

Image
We stayed in Dingle for 2 nights. Such a cute town and what a trip to drive across Ireland. So much green. So much beauty. And so many castles! Fungie, the local Bottlenose dolphin, has its own statue.

Dublin, just Dublin

Newgrange, Boyne Valley, Ireland, June 2016

Image
But first, cows. There are so many cows in Ireland.  Newgrange is 500 years older than Stonehenge. (Stonehenge post to come at some point. I was there in 2012, a lifetime ago.) Newgrange has a super narrow passage way that leads to the center. The passageway is lit up by the sun, naturally and perfectly aligned, on Winter Solstice. We didn't see it on Winter Solstice. But still, it was pretty amazing to actually see the place in person. So much history.

Guinness deliciousness, Ireland, June 2016

Image
Showing off the water - apparently from the Wicklow Mountains and apparently the best in the world for brewing Guinness. So delicious! Aw, cute little guy! P.S. I wanted to buy one of everything at the gift shop. Lovey wouldn't let me. Hahaha. :)  Team Ric in Ireland!! At the Guinness factory bar no less. :)  Look at this handsome man! With a Guinness in his hand too. Be still my heart! <3 What a beautiful sight! (The pints, not the blokes in the background. Ha!) Just like the perfect shot of espresso. Oh, be still my heart! <3 <3

Dublin town and Kilmainham Gaol, June 2016

The left facing harp, a symbol of Ireland. Much debated because the right facing harp is the symbol of Guinness (post on Guinness on it's way!). Somehow they found a way to co-exist. Yay Ireland and definitely, yay Guinness! So delicious... Lovey, the tourist. <3 Through the little hole in the cell door.  Had to add some cheerfulness with this bright flower just outside the jail.
