Newgrange, Boyne Valley, Ireland, June 2016

But first, cows. There are so many cows in Ireland.

Newgrange is 500 years older than Stonehenge. (Stonehenge post to come at some point. I was there in 2012, a lifetime ago.) Newgrange has a super narrow passage way that leads to the center. The passageway is lit up by the sun, naturally and perfectly aligned, on Winter Solstice. We didn't see it on Winter Solstice. But still, it was pretty amazing to actually see the place in person. So much history.
