Some moss took a "lichen" to algae... Oh the science nerd in me is strong. Luckily science (aka nature) offers such good subjects for photos. Constantly.
Just wanted to include this one to show the yuckiness of flash photography. I mean, flash has it's purposes. I just usually choose not to have any purpose for flash. Too washed out.
Just for texture. As my husband says, "Texture, Joni, texture. Ahhhhh."
Why did the tree cross the boardwalk in the wetland? Um, because it wanted to? You go, tree.
Just pretend the houses in the right side of the photo are not there and you've got yourself a northern Minnesota lake! Just add loons.
